Excellent day

Roger Williams Zoo was a great time for all. A radio station was giving away free admission at the entrance, which made it even better. But we would have paid full price to get in. My eldest was completely amazed to see the animals he sees in books live in front of him for the first time. He ran from exhibit to exhibit to see what was next. The only disappointment was the elephant not being out. They were working on its enclosure, so it was inside, out of view.

My yearling, on the other hand, was very unhappy by days end. We tried to let him run around as much as possible, but he still didn't get out of a seat much. He was cranky and sore by days end. Usually, the next day after a day out we call "kid's hangover day". They're a little disgruntled and need their routine to get back to normal. Saturday was that day, and then some.

Well, it's Sunday, the last day of our vacation. Between going to a little league game, Nantasket beach and the zoo, a real good week, I think.
